Election Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan
The Chairman of the CEC of RK Nurlan Abdirov took part in observing the Early Presidential Election of Uzbekistan, at the invitation of the CEC of Uzbekistan.
On 7 July 2023, he met with the Chairman of the CEC of Uzbekistan Zainiddin Nizamkhodzhayev. During the meeting, the head of the Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan informed the Kazakh observers about the main stages of the current election campaign, the preparation, and the peculiarities of these elections. In turn, N. Abdirov thanked his colleague for the invitation to participate in the international observation and expressed interest in the use of biometric identification devices, video surveillance, and online broadcasting in several polling stations in Uzbekistan as an experiment.
On 8 July 2023, the head of the CEC of Kazakhstan in the status of an observer attended the first meeting of the Advisory Council of Heads of Election Bodies of the Commonwealth of Independent States. The meeting was attended by the members of the Advisory Council - heads of the electoral bodies of Armenia, Belarus, and Tajikistan, and representatives of the leadership of the electoral bodies of Kyrgyzstan and Russia. Representatives of the CIS Executive Committee headed by the Secretary General S. Lebedev and the Secretariat of the CIS IPA Council headed by D. Kobitsky also participated with the right of advisory vote. Other participants included the Head of the CEC of Turkmenistan, as well as representatives of the Association of World Election Bodies and the Association of Asian Election Bodies. During the meeting, issues related to the organization of the activities of the newly formed Advisory Council were considered. As a result of the meeting, the first chairmanship of the Advisory Council was passed to the CEC of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the co-chairmanship to the CEC of the Republic of Belarus.

The Advisory Council of Heads of Election Bodies of the CIS member states was formed by the decision of the meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State held in Astana on 14 October 2022.
As of today, the Council consists of the heads of the central election bodies of the CIS member states: the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
On the same day, the head of the Central Election Commission of Kazakhstan N. Abdirov took part in a press conference of the Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan on the theme "The main activities for the organization and conduct of early elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan."
On 9 July 2023, on Election Day, representatives of the CEC of the RK, led by its Chairman, visited a number of polling stations in Tashkent and Urgench to observe the voting process, vote counting and tabulation of election results.
"After visiting the polling stations, I would like to note the high activity of voters. They are actively participating in the voting, families are coming together. The training of members of the precinct election commissions is also at a good level. The CEC of Uzbekistan has done a lot of preparatory work. Overall, from our side, there are no observations regarding the organization of the voting process," said Nurlan Abdirov.
A total of 25 representatives from the Republic of Kazakhstan participated in observing the elections, both at the invitation of the leadership of the CEC of the Republic of Uzbekistan within the framework of bilateral cooperation and as part of observer missions from the Commonwealth of Independent States, Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and the Organization of Turkic States.

During the early presidential election of the Republic of Uzbekistan, 10,784 polling stations were opened, with 56 polling stations established abroad in 39 countries around the world. The total number of voters is 19,593,838 people, of which 47% are men and 53% are women.
Four candidates were registered for the presidency: Ulugbek Inoyatov - from the People's Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev - from the Movement of Entrepreneurs and Business People - the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, Makhmudova Robakhon Anvarovna - from the Social Democratic Party "Adolat," and Abdushukur Khamzayev - from the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan.
According to the constitutional amendments adopted on 1 May 2023, the presidential term has been extended from 5 to 7 years.
