CEC Chairman met with international observers
On March 18, Chairman of the Central Election Commission Nurlan Abdirov held six meetings with international observers during the day.
In the first half of the day, Nurlan Abdirov met with representatives of the delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia, Chairman of the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda of Tajikistan Bakhtiyor Khudoyerzoda, met with a group of international observers from the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly.
He briefly informed the guests about the preparation and conduct of the upcoming elections of Mazhilis Members to the Parliament, as well as the readiness of polling stations for voting day, answered the questions of the meeting participants regarding the organisation and conduct of elections, the timing and procedure for summing up their results.
During the meetings, the CEC Chairman also emphasised that the country attaches great importance to the participation of international observers in the upcoming elections, including as a sign of support for the democratic development of Kazakhstan.
The heads of delegations noted the calm, friendly environment in the country on the eve of the elections, the high professional level of the organisers of the election campaign, and expressed their readiness to observe the election day objectively and impartially.
