CEC Chairman Nurlan Abdirov met with CSTO PA delegation

On November 18, Chairman of the Central Election Commission Nurlan Abdirov met with the delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation, headed by group coordinator Vagharshak Hakobyan. 

The Chairman of the Central Election Commission provided the delegation members with the results of the main stages of the electoral campaign, information on registered presidential candidates, and also noted that today the stage of pre-election campaign ends, and tomorrow, November 19, the day of silence begins. 

During the meeting, Nurlan Abdirov informed the CSTO PA representatives about the number of citizens of Kazakhstan included in the voter lists, the number of polling stations in the country, as well as the results of accreditation of international observers for the presidential elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan. 

In turn, representatives of the CSTO PA expressed gratitude for the information provided, and also noted the high level of organisation of the electoral process. 

After the meeting, a briefing was held by the CSTO PA, at which representatives of the CSTO PA answered questions from the media.
