Members of the Central Election Commission met with members of the OSCE/ODIHR Mission
On November 16, Chairman of the Central Election Commission Nurlan Abdirov met with Head of the OSCE/ODIHR Observation Mission for the early elections of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Urszula Gacek.
The meeting, which took place on the initiative of the OSCE/ODIHR Mission, was attended by members and employees of the CEC office, as well as members of the Mission.
The Chairman of the Central Election Commission presented to the members of the Mission the results of the registration of presidential candidates, familiarised them with the current stage of the election campaign, and also informed them about the results of the accreditation of international observers for the elections of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In his speech, Nurlan Abdirov drew the attention of the members of the OSCE/ODIHR Mission to the timing of the implementation of certain norms of the Constitutional Act “On Elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan.”
During the meeting, Nurlan Abdirov also expressed gratitude to the Mission members for the final report of the ODIHR Referendum Assessment Mission and for the opportunity to get acquainted with the Interim Report of the OSCE/ODIHR Observation Mission of the Early Elections of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He requested that the comments of the CEC to the interim report be taken into account when preparing the final report of the OSCE/ODIHR Mission for the election of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, the members of the OSCE/ODIHR Mission asked members of the Central Election Commission questions, to which they received detailed answers.
At the end of the meeting, Nurlan Abdirov expressed his gratitude to the OSCE/ODIHR Mission for participation in the meetings, dialogue platforms and training events of the Central Election Commission.
