A meeting of the Central Election Commission on registration of 

N. Auesbayev as a candidate for President of the Republic of Kazakhstan was 

held

On October 20, 2022, a meeting of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held under the chairmanship of Nurlan Abdirov on registering Nurlan Auesbayev as a candidate for the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 

Member of the Central Election Commission Sabila Mustafina made a report on the agenda item. She said that on October 7, 2022, documents on the nomination of N. Auesbayev as a candidate for the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan were submitted to the Central Election Commission from the “National Social Democratic Party” Republican Public Association. To register a candidate, the following documents were also submitted to the Central Election Commission: 

- certificate of the state revenue authority on the submission of assets and liabilities declarations by candidate for President N. Auesbayev and his spouse; 

- a medical report on the absence of diseases preventing registration of candidate for the President N. Auesbayev; 

- protocols of territorial election commissions of regions, cities of republican significance and the capital of the Republic on the results of verification of the collected signatures of citizens in support of presidential candidate N.Auesbayev.  

According to these protocols, authorised persons in support of presidential candidate N. Auesbayev collected signatures from 120,908 citizens in 15 regions of Kazakhstan. As a result of the verification, the authenticity of 119,197 signatures was established, that is, the required number, at least 1% of the total number of voters or 118,273, was provided. 

All documents required for registration of candidate for President N. Auesbayev, were presented to the Central Election Commission and fully comply with the requirements for them. 

By the Decree of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nurlan Auesbayev was registered as a candidate for the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the early elections of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, scheduled for November 20, 2022, he was issued an appropriate certificate. 

Following the meeting of the Central Election Commission, a briefing was held by N. Auesbayev for representatives of the media.
