On October 20, 2022, a meeting of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held under the chairmanship of Nurlan Abdirov on the issue of registering Saltanat Tursynbekova as a candidate for the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.  

Member of the Central Election Commission Assylbek Smagulov made a report on the agenda item. He said that on October 11, 2022, documents on the nomination of S. Tursynbekova as a candidate for the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan were submitted to the Central Election Commission from the “Kazakh Analary – Dasturge Zhol” Republican Public Association. To register a candidate, the following documents were also submitted to the Central Election Commission: 

- certificate of the state revenue authority on the submission of asset and liability declarations by candidate for President S. Tursynbekova; 

- a medical report on the absence of diseases preventing registration in candidate for President S. Tursynbekova; 

- protocols of territorial election commissions of regions, cities of republican significance and the capital of the Republic on the results of verification of the collected signatures of citizens in support of presidential candidate S. Tursynbekova. 

According to these protocols, authorised persons in support of presidential candidate S. Tursynbekova collected signatures from 119,316 citizens in 18 regions of Kazakhstan. As a result of the verification, the authenticity of 118,434 signatures was established, that is, the required number, at least 1% of the total number of voters or 118,273, was provided. 

All documents required for registration of S. Tursynbekova as a candidate for President were presented to the Central Election Commission and fully comply with the requirements for them. 

By the decision of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Saltanat Tursynbekova was registered as a candidate for the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the early elections of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, scheduled for November 20, 2022, she was issued an appropriate certificate. 

Following the meeting of the Central Election Commission, a briefing was held by S. Tursynbekova for representatives of the media.
