A meeting of the Central Election Commission on registration of 

M. Kazhyken as a candidate for President of the Republic of Kazakhstan was 

held

On October 15, 2022, a meeting of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held under the chairmanship of Nurlan Abdirov, on the issue of registering Meiram Kazhyken as a candidate for the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 

Member of the Central Election Commission Shavkat Utemissov made a report on the agenda item. He said that on October 4, 2022, documents on the nomination of M. Kazhyken as a candidate for the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan were submitted to the Central Election Commission from the “Amanat” Commonwealth of Trade Unions of Kazakhstan” Republican Association of Trade Unions. To register a candidate, the following documents were also submitted to the Central Election Commission: 

- certificate of the state revenue authority on the submission of declarations of assets and liabilities by candidate for President M. Kazhyken and his spouse; 

- a medical report on the absence of diseases preventing presidential candidate M. Kazhyken registration; 

- protocols of territorial election commissions of regions, cities of republican significance and the capital of the Republic on the results of verification of the collected signatures of citizens in support of the presidential candidate M.Kazhyken.  

According to these protocols, authorised persons in support of candidate for President M. Kazhyken signatures were collected from 122,184 citizens in 14 regions of Kazakhstan. 

All documents required for registration of M. Kazhyken presidential candidate were submitted to the Central Election Commission and fully comply with the requirements. 

By a resolution of the CEC of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Meiram Kazhyken was registered as a candidate for the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the early elections of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, scheduled for November 20, 2022, he was issued an appropriate certificate. 

Following the results of the meeting of the Central Election Commission, M. Kazhyken briefing was held with the participation of representatives of the media.
