ANNOUNCEMENT
On October 13, 2022, a meeting of the Linguistic Commission was held at the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan to establish Bakyt Zhanabayev’s fluency in the state language.
The linguistic exam was held in three stages: writing an assignment, reading an excerpt from a work of classical Kazakh literature, and public speaking on a chosen topic.
After passing the exam, a collegiate discussion and summing up took place.
The results of the meeting were announced by Chairman of the Linguistic Commission, Doctor of Philology, Professor Adil Akhmetov.
The topic of the candidate’s written task was “Ecology is the main problem of today.” The work was judged on content, style, spelling and punctuation. The candidate used all the time given to him to write the paper. In the second task, he read an excerpt from the collection of Mirzhakyp Dulatov “Oyan, Kazakh!” The third task was a presentation on the topic “Babalar amanaty.”
Based on the results of the examination, the Linguistic Commission, by a majority of votes, taking into account one abstention, decided that Bakyt Zhanabayev, a candidate for the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, is fluent in the state language.
