The Central Election Commission adopted a resolution on establishing 

the compliance of candidate for the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan

On October 12, 2022, a meeting of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held under the chairmanship of Nurlan Abdirov, which was attended by representatives of state bodies, the media; members of territorial election commissions of regions, cities of republican significance and the capital participated via videoconferencing.

The meeting considered the issue of establishing the compliance of candidate for the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Saltanat Tursynbekova.

Member of the Central Election Commission Assylbek Smagulov made a report on the agenda item. He said that regarding the candidate for the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Saltanat Tursynbekova the CEC of the Republic of Kazakhstan in accordance with the requirements of Article 59 of the Constitutional Act on Elections sent relevant requests to the authorised state bodies. According to the information received from them, there are no obstacles in registration of Saltanat Tursynbekova as a candidate for the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Thus, according to the data of the Committee on Legal Statistics and Special Records of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Saltanat Tursynbekova meets the requirements of the Constitution and the Constitutional Act “On Elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan” for candidates for the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs, Saltanat Tursynbekova is a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan by birth, has been living in Kazakhstan for the last 23 years.

The Agency for Civil Service Affairs, she has 22 years 10 months experience in the civil service.

The Ministry of Justice, the “Kazakh Analary – Dasturge Zhol” Republican Public Association, which nominated a candidate for the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, has a registration document with the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

According to the conclusion of the linguistic commission dated October 12, 2022, she is fluent in the state language.

She has a higher education (verification was made with the original diploma).

In this regard, the Central Election Commission resolved to:

1. Establish that candidate for the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Saltanat Tursynbekova complies with the requirements of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Constitutional Act of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated September 28, 1995 “On Elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan.”

2. Issue signature sheets in the required amount to collect signatures in support of the candidate for the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Collection of signatures will be carried out by proxies of the candidate. Registration of proxies will be carried out by territorial election commissions on the basis of the Instruction approved by the Central Election Commission on November 21, 2011 No. 62/108.
