On October 8, 2022, a meeting of the Linguistic Commission was held at the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan to establish fluency in the state language of Meiram Kazhyken.

The linguistic exam was conducted in three stages: writing an assignment on a specific topic, reading a printed text, and speaking in public on the selected topic for at least fifteen minutes.

After passing the exam, a discussion and summing up by the commission took place.

The results of the meeting were announced by Chairman of the Linguistic Commission, Doctor of Philology, Professor Adil Akhmetov.

The topic of the candidate’s written work was Contemporary Global Issues. The written work was judged on content, style, spelling and punctuation. The candidate used all the time given to him to write the paper. In the second task, he read an excerpt from Mukhtar Auezov’s epic The Path of Abai. The third task was a 15-minute presentation on the topic “Yrys Aldy – Yntymaq.”

Based on the results of the exam, the Linguistic Commission unanimously decided that the presidential candidate Meiram Kazhyken is fluent in the state language.
