On 13 May 2022, Central Referendum Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan together with Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a training workshop for editors in chief of the media on the preparation and conduct of the republican referendum
On May 13, 2022, as part of the Plan for training participants of the republican referendum, scheduled for June 5, 2022, the Central Referendum Commission together with the Ministry of Information and Social Development held a training workshop in offline and online formats for representatives of the editors in chief of the republican and regional mass media. The event was attended by 130 people.
During the event, clarifications were given on the subject of the republican referendum scheduled for June 5, 2022 – the draft Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On amendments and additions to the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan,” the specifics of the process of preparing and conducting, informing citizens, campaigning, public opinion polls, media accreditation in the referendum day, financing of the republican referendum, as well as liability for violation of the legislation on the referendum.
The speakers of the workshop from the Central Referendum Commission were Secretary of the Central Referendum Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Yerman, members of the Central Referendum Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sabila Mustafina and Anastassiya Shchegortsova.
Vice Minister of Justice Alma Mukanova, Vice Minister of Information and Social Development Nurgul Mauberlinova, Senior Assistant to the Prosecutor General Azamat Sargazin also spoke at the workshop.
Following the results of the workshop, members of the Central Referendum Commission and representatives of authorised state bodies gave comprehensive answers to the questions of the workshop participants.
