On March 4, 2022 a meeting of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held

On March 4, 2022 a meeting of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held under the chairmanship of Nurlan Abdirov via videoconferencing.

Chairman of the Central Election Commission Nurlan Abdirov, as well as members of the CEC Asylbek Smagulov and Shavkhat Utemisov participated in the meeting while on a working trip in Aktobe region.

The following resolutions were adopted by members of the Central Election Commission during the meeting:

1. On the occurrence of grounds, entailing the termination of the powers of the deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Faizolla Kamenov;

2. On the occurrence of grounds, entailing the termination of the powers of the deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sergey Reshetnikov.

In accordance with Article 52 of the Constitution, paragraphs 3 and 8 of Article 24 of the Constitutional Act “On the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the status of its deputies” the Central Election Commission decided that in connection with filing of applications, grounds that entailed the early termination of the powers of the deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament F.Kamenov and S.Reshetnikov had arisen.

Representations on early termination of powers of deputies F.Kamenov and S.Reshetnikov will be submitted to the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
