The CEC of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in the ODIHR Election Seminar on Election Observation and Election Campaigns on Social Networks

On November 2, 2021, the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in the ODIHR Election Seminar on Election Observation and Election Campaigns on Social Networks.

The ODIHR online seminar was attended by representatives of official delegations, electoral bodies, non-governmental organizations of the ODIHR participating States, international organizations, ODIHR institutions including a number of international election experts.

The seminar was focused on an overview of social media campaigning commitments, standards and practices as well as the issue of social media observation of elections.

At the end of the seminar participants of the event summed up the results and noted the importance of further strengthening the role of ODIHR commitments, other international obligations and standards in the field of democratic elections as well as facilitating a broad dialogue between ODIHR participating States on organizing the electoral process.
