The leadership of the CEC of the Republic of Kazakhstan met with the Director of the OSCE/ODIHR

On October 20, 2021, the leadership of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan met with the Director of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) Matteo Mecacci.

They exchanged views on state and prospects of interaction expanding contacts within the framework of bilateral cooperation between the CEC of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the OSCE/ODIHR during the meeting as well as deepening partnership with the OSCE/ODIHR in the field of studying international best practices on electoral issues.

In addition, the issues of consideration and implementation of the recommendations of the missions of the Election Observation Office in the Republic of Kazakhstan were raised.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on further development of a systemic dialogue and active contacts within the framework of bilateral cooperation.
