TEC of the East Kazakhstan region introduces students to the basics of electoral system of Kazakhstan 

Territorial election commissions in the regions are organizing events to improve electoral and legal culture of young and future voters within the framework of the Republican action of the CEC of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the occasion of the Global Elections Day.

Chairman of the TEC of the East Kazakhstan region Yersain Nabiyev held a face-to-face lecture for students of disciplines "Jurisprudence" and "International relations" of the Kazakh-American Free University (Ust-Kamenogorsk) on the topic - "Development of electoral system of the Republic of Kazakhstan."

During the lecture Yersain Nabiyev told students about history of formation and improvement of country's electoral system, novelties of electoral legislation, shared his experience in organizing electoral campaigns on the example of recently held elections of deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament and maslikhats of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Lecturer dwelled on prospects for development of electoral system in the context of the initiatives for political modernization voiced by the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev on January 15, 2021 during his speech at the opening of first session of the Parliament of the VII convocation.

The purpose of the lecture is to inform young voters on the importance of conscious participation of every citizen in elections and responsibility for their choice.

At the end of lecture an exchange of views took place.
