Central Election Commission registered deputies of the Mazhilis
of the Parliament of the seventh convocation
On January 14, 2021, meeting of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held on registration of deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the seventh convocation.
The meeting was attended by elected deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament, territorial election commissions of regions, Nur-Sultan, Almaty and Shymkent in videoconferencing mode as well as media representatives - online.
Opening the meeting, Chairman of the Central Election Commission Berik Imashev noted that in accordance with the Constitutional Law "On the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and status of its deputies", powers of a deputy of the Parliament shall begin from the moment of his/her registration as a deputy of the Parliament by the Central Election Commission.
Anastassiya Schegortsova, member of the Central Election Commission, made a report “On registration of elected deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the seventh convocation”.
She stated that in accordance with the Constitutional Act "On Elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan", the Central Election Commission shall register elected deputies of the Parliament. The Central Election Commission shall present each deputy with a certificate and a badge of the established sample.
In this regard, Resolution “On registration of deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan of the seventh convocation” was adopted, in accordance with which 107 deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan of the seventh convocation were registered. According to the party list: Nur Otan party - 76 deputies; "Ak Zhol" Democratic Party of Kazakhstan - 12 deputies, People's Party of Kazakhstan - 10 deputies; elected by the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan - 9 deputies.
Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan Berik Imashev handed over certificates and badges to registered deputies and wished them success and fruitful work in the supreme representative body of the Republic exercising legislative power.
