On the opening of polling stations at 8.00

As of 8:00 Nur-Sultan time, according to the updated data provided by election commissions of regions, Almaty, Shymkent and Nur-Sultan, all 9,994 polling stations across the country and 17 polling stations at representative offices of the Republic of Kazakhstan in foreign countries started voting process.

49 polling stations abroad will start voting taking into account the difference in time zones.

Precinct election commissions, upon written applications from voters, issued 10,599 absentee ballots for the right to vote in elections of deputies to the Mazhilis of the Parliament. Citizens can now vote on these absentee ballots at any polling station where they stay.

For elections of deputies of maslikhats of all levels, a total of 11,612 absentee certificates were issued.

Local executive bodies and election commissions carried out work to ensure completeness and reliability of voter lists.

11 915,903 voters are included in the voter lists.
