Kazakh student participates in International scientific debates on electoral systems
Aigerim Borangazy, a fourth-year student of the Faculty of Law of Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi takes part in the International Scientific Online Debates held under the auspices of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States between the national team of university students of the IPA CIS member states and team of students of the Russian Federation universities.
In September this year, A.Borangazy became a winner of the National Internet Olympiad among students of universities of Kazakhstan "Election systems worldwide" organized by the Central Election Commission together with the International Institute for Monitoring the Development of Democracy of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of CIS and the Association of universities of Kazakhstan in an interactive format. 155 students from 32 universities of the country took part in two rounds of the National Stage.
The International Jury of Scientific Debates included Secretary General - Head of the Secretariat of the IPA CIS Council D. Kobitsky, Deputy Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat - Director of the IIMDD IPA CIS I.Mushket, Deputy of the State Duma V.Kanteyev and responsible officials and experts of the International Institute for Monitoring the Development of Democracy of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of CIS.
The results of the International Scientific Debate will be announced on December 9 this year.
