To the attention of the republican and regional media!

In accordance with the Calendar plans of the main events for preparation and conduct of the regular elections of deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament and Maslikhats of the Republic of Kazakhstan, election campaigning begins from the end of the registration period for party lists after 18.00 local time on December 10, 2020 and ends at 00.00 local time January 9, 2021.

In accordance with clause 2 of Art. 28 of the Act "On elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan" political parties that have nominated party lists are guaranteed equal conditions of access to the media for campaigning.

The basis for provision of airtime and print space in the media to candidates or political parties shall be the candidate's certificate, his/her personal or written statement authorized by person of the political party addressed to the head of the media that issues airing (broadcasts) or a copy of the decision of the Central or corresponding territorial election commission on registration of the party list.

According to the rules for the implementation of election campaigning media shall develop a schedule for provision of airtime and print space for speeches by political parties that have nominated party lists through media and information support for the elections of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, deputies of the Parliament, maslikhats of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as members of other local self-government bodies, approved by Resolution No. 12/203 of the CEC of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated August 25, 2018.

A copy of schedule which indicates date and time of the release (airing) of campaign materials of political parties shall be sent to the Central or relevant territorial election commission within three days from the date of the candidate's or political party's request except for changes to the schedule that must be submitted during the day.

Copy of the schedule for elections of deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament must be submitted to the Central Election Commission for elections of deputies of maslikhats to territorial election commissions.

The terms of the agreement on the provision of air time, print space in the media to political parties that have nominated party lists of candidates for deputies of the Mazhilis maslikhat as well as candidates for members of other local self-government bodies cannot create advantages for this or that candidate or political party.
