Notification about the death of Mr. Vladimir Foos

It is with deep regret we report that on July 14, 2020 Mr. Vladimir Foos passed away in the seventieth year of life.

Mr. Foos stood at the origins of the creation of the electoral system of independent Kazakhstan and had devoted more than 20 years to his work in the Central Election Commission.

Vladimir Foos has been a legend and a man representing his time for everyone who has been working in the electoral system. His work has always been distinguished by the highest level of professionalism and deep understanding of the details of the electoral process organization. With appreciation colleagues acknowledge his great contribution to the development of methodology and practice of electoral process organization.

Even when retired, Vladimir always remained a good friend and a wise mentor, generously sharing his invaluable experience and professional knowledge. The sudden passing of Vladimir Foos is a severe and irreparable loss for all of us.

His special qualities were integrity, empathy, humbleness, unfailing love of life, and hopefulness.

The staff of the Central Election Commission deeply mourn the untimely loss and expresses deep condolences to the family and friends. We shall forever cherish the memory of Vladimir Foos in our hearts.
