The list of observers from the Republic of Kazakhstan to be sent to the elections of members to the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan has been approved

On January 24, 2020, the Central Election Commission approved a list of observers from the Republic of Kazakhstan to be sent to the elections of deputies to the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan, which are to take place on February 9, 2020.

In total, it lists 43 observers from the Republic of Kazakhstan, which includes: 2 observers invited by the CEC of Azerbaijan; 37 observers as members of the CIS Observation Mission; and 2 observers as part of the OSCE/ODIHR Election Observation Mission, with the remaining two as members of the SCO Observer Mission and the CCTSS Observer Mission, respectively.

Of the total number of observers to be sent, 29 observers represented the regions of Kazakhstan.

In addition, according to the Senate and the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, nine MPs from Kazakhstan are expected to participate on a bilateral basis in the delegations of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly, OSCE PA, TurkPA, as well as at the invitation of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
