Meeting of members of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan with representatives of central electoral authorities of foreign states
On June 8, 2019, at 11 am, a meeting of members of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan with representatives of the central electoral authorities of foreign states took place.
Representatives from 17 central electoral authorities of foreign countries came to observe the early election of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan: Armenia, Bulgaria, Georgia, Malaysia, Moldova, Russian Federation, Turkey, Latvia, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Mongolia, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Romania, Indonesia and India.
In his welcoming speech, the Chairperson of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Berik Imashev, thanked all the meeting participants for accepting the invitation to take part in the observation of the election of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He also stressed that the meeting is a kind of meeting of experts in the field of preparation and holding of elections, since each of the participants has experience of holding or participating in such important political event for his or her country.
Konstantin Petrov, the Deputy Chairperson of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan, made a report on the preparation of the campaign. He informed about the number of polling stations, their readiness for the voting day, the total number of voters and the number of ballots produced, as well as about international observers accredited for the early election of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The meeting was held in a very warm and friendly atmosphere. Following the meeting, a briefing was held with representatives of the media.
