Accreditation of observers of international organizations and foreign states to the early election of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, scheduled for June 9, 2019
On June 3, 2019, a meeting of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held, attended by representatives of political parties, the OSCE / ODIHR Mission and the CIS Mission.
The meeting addressed the issue: “Accreditation of observers of international organizations and foreign states to the early election of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, scheduled for June 9, 2019.”
A member of the Central Election Commission, Zauresh Baimoldina, reported that on June 3, 2019, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan sent a submission for the accreditation of 11 observers of the CIS Mission and 2 observers of the OSCE / ODIHR Mission.
Along with this, documents of 33 observers from 7 foreign states were submitted: Great Britain, India, China, Palestine, Russian Federation, USA, Georgia. It should be noted that among them there are representatives of the central electoral authorities of India and the Russian Federation.
All 46 observers were presented for accreditation at the meeting.
Accreditation of observers of foreign states and international organizations began on April 12, 2019 and was completed by the Central Election Commission on June 3 at 6:00 pm in accordance with the deadline.
The question of accreditation of observers of international organizations and foreign countries was considered at 6 meetings of the CEC of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In total, 1013 observers were accredited to observe the election of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Among them are 866 observers from 9 international organizations and 147 observers from 41 foreign states.
43 out of the total number of observers are representatives of the central electoral authorities of foreign states. At the same time, we note that the states that sent observers are represented by 4 continents: Europe, Asia, North America, South America.
