Regional training workshop for election officials was held in Nur-Sultan on May 30, 2019
On May 30, 2019 Secretary of the Central Election Commission S. Mustafina held a training workshop in Nur-Sultan for election officials, themed “Activities of election commissions during the preparation and conduct of the early election of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, scheduled for June 9, 2019”.
The workshop was attended by members of territorial and precinct election commissions of Nur-Sultan, certified electoral trainers and representatives of local executive bodies.
During the workshop, S. Mustafina briefed its participants on changes in the electoral legislation, the main stages of the election campaign, the conditions for electoral campaigning of candidates, the powers and duties of election commissions to prepare and conduct elections, the tasks of territorial election commissions and local executive bodies to ensure the rights of citizens with disabilities.
In addition, issues of financial support for the election campaign and the organization of electoral training for members of election commissions were covered in detail.
Deputy Akim of Nur-Sultan E. Kanalimov reported on the work carried out to compile voter lists and transfer them to election commissions, the measures taken for the material and technical equipment of polling stations, including the provision of conditions for persons with disabilities and informing voters about the voting day.
Chairperson of the Territorial Election Commission of the city of Nur-Sultan V. Redkokashin informed about the current preparation and conduct of the election campaign, as well as the readiness of polling stations for the voting day.
In addition, within the framework of the workshop, the letters of appreciation of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan were solemnly presented to members of territorial and precinct election commissions who took an active part in the development of methodological manuals for the officials and other participants in the electoral process at the early election of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, scheduled for June 9, 2019.
