Working visit of CEC Deputy Chairperson K. Petrov to West Kazakhstan Oblast

As part of a working visit to West Kazakhstan Oblast, Deputy Chairperson of the Central Election Commission K. Petrov held a workshop for members of election commissions and other participants in the electoral process in the city of Uralsk on May 22, 2019.

The workshop was attended by representatives of the campaign offices of the candidates, as well as members of election commissions of all districts of the oblast via videoconferencing.

Head of Akim’s Office of West Kazakhstan Oblast R. Issakulov reported on the delivery of voter lists to the polling stations, the measures taken for the material and technical equipment of the polling stations, including the provision of conditions for persons with disabilities.

Chairperson of the Oblast Election Commission G. Kapakov informed about the training for members of election commissions by the cascade method and the method of distance learning and testing, and the preparation of polling stations on the day of voting.

Head of the Department for the Organization of the Electoral Process of the Central Election Commission, D. Iskakov, dwelled in detail on the activities of election commissions, both during the preparation stage and on the election day.

There was an active exchange of views on the issues under discussion.

On the same day, Deputy Chairperson of the Central Election Commission, K. Petrov, visited several polling stations of the city of Uralsk to check the readiness for the day of voting and the organization of work of the commission members.
