Working visit of CEC Secretary S. Mustafina to North Kazakhstan Oblast

On May 20, 2019, during a working visit to North Kazakhstan Oblast, Secretary of the Central Election Commission Sabila Mustafina held a training workshop for election organizers “Activities of election commissions during the preparation and conduct of the early elections of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, scheduled for June 9, 2019”.

The workshop was attended by members of territorial and precinct election commissions, certified electoral trainers, representatives of the branch of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and representatives of local executive bodies.

During the workshop, S. Mustafina briefed its participants on changes in the electoral legislation, the main stages of the election campaign, the conditions for electoral campaigning of candidates, the powers of election commissions to prepare and conduct elections, the tasks of territorial election commissions and local executive bodies to ensure the rights of citizens with disabilities.

In addition, the workshop covered in detail issues of financial support for the election campaign and the electoral training for members of election commissions of North Kazakhstan Oblast using the cascade method and the method of distance learning and testing.

During the workshop, participants were also shown a training film on the work of precinct commissions on the election day, prepared by the Central Election Commission.

As a result of the seminar, an exchange of views took place and the organization of the work of election commissions was discussed.

On the same day, a meeting was held between S. Mustafina and chairpersons of youth committees for higher and secondary educational institutions.

In the course of the meeting, issues of youth participation in the electoral process, improvement of the legal culture, and electoral activity of young voters, were discussed.
