CEC members Baimoldina and Meldeshov meet with a group of international observers from IPA CIS on May 16, 2019

On May 16, 2019, there was a meeting of the CEC members of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Baimoldina and Meldeshov, with international observers from the IPA CIS: Deputy Director of the International Institute for Monitoring Democracy Development of the IPA CIS, Goloulin, head of the IIMDD expert group, Tkachenko, and adviser of the IIMDD Election Monitoring Department, Shulgina.

During the meeting, the CEC members briefed about all stages of the election campaign, and also introduced the calendar plan of the main activities for preparing for the early election of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, highlighting the main stages of the campaign: nomination, registration, election campaigning, election day, and other actions of electoral bodies in the period from April 10 to June 9 of the current year.

In addition, representatives of the IIMDD of the IPA CIS were informed about the main changes in the electoral legislation made in 2017-2018, including new provisions relating to election campaigning, campaign finance, etc.
