A Meeting of the Linguistic Commission was Held at the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan on April 24, 2019
On April 24, 2019, the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a meeting of the linguistic commission to identify fluency in the state language of Sadygbek Tugel, a candidate from the “Republican Movement Uly Dala Kyrandary” Republican Public Association.
The linguistic exam was conducted in all three stages: writing of a written assignment on a topic, reading of a printed text and public speaking on a topic given by the linguistic commission for at least fifteen minutes. Discussion and summing up of results by the linguistic commission took place after the exam. Member of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan Lyazzat Suleimen attended the meeting.
The work of the commission was carried out openly and publicly, and the media learned about the results of the exam immediately after summing up of the results. Member of the linguistic commission, Doctor of Philosophy, Academician, Professor Garifolla Yessim announced the results of the meeting.
The written assignment was on the topic “Commonwealth of Independent States – history and today.” Written work was evaluated on the content, style, spelling and punctuation. The candidate made minor punctuation mistakes.
In the second assignment, the candidate read an excerpt from the collection “Ballades of the Steppe” by Abish Kekilbayev. While reading the text, the candidate showed fluency in the state language.
The third task was a 15-minute speech on the topic “Words of ancestors – heritage of the peoples’ wisdom.” A member of the commission noted that Sadygbek Tugel has a high level of language skills and culture of speech.
According to the results of the exam, the linguistic commission by open vote unanimously decided that candidate to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sadybek Tugel is fluent in the state language.
