On 4 October 2016 the meeting of the Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Kazakhstan was held

On 4 October 2016 the Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. B.M. Imashev met the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. I.U. Nazarov.

The head of the Central Election Commission and Mr. Nazarov have discussed the issues of bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Uzbekistan in the sphere of improving the electoral systems and the further development of the international election observation institute.

"We consider the participation of Kazakhstan's representatives in the observation of the forthcoming early election of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan as the promotion of an atmosphere of publicity, transparency and credibility to the electoral campaign from the part of international community and all stakeholders of the electoral process," - said B. Imashev.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Kazakhstan expressed appreciation for the organization of the meeting and hope for the further fruitful cooperation of electoral authorities of both countries.

Mr. Nazarov congratulated Mr. Imashev on his appointment as the Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan and wished him every success.

The meeting was also attended by a member of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. M.A. Sarsembayev.
