On July, 9th was held the republican seminar – conference organized by the Central Election Commission on questions of organization of the preparation and holding extraordinary elections of the deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament and regular election of the Maslikhat of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
For participating in work of the seminar – conference were invited chairmen and secretaries of oblast, Astana and Almaty election commissions, deputies of the akims of oblasts, cities Astana and Almaty, senior experts – representatives of the Central Election Commission in regions, representatives of the political Parties, public associations, nongovernmental organization, interested government bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and also representatives of international organizations working in election sphere.
During the seminar – conference were discussed the questions of material – technical and financial maintenance of election campaign and also effective relations between election commissions, local executive bodies, nongovernmental organizations and institutes of civil society.
In the capacity of the most important ways of joint work at this stage of election campaign the participators of the seminar – conference pointed to the necessity of the maintenance of strict observance of the norms of the Election legislation by all participators of the election process.
Among discussing and actual themes touched on during the seminar – conference can be picked out the questions of the legal education of the participators of election process, organization of work on forming, definition and correction the lists of voters, maintenance of relations of the local and international observers with the election commissions, government bodies and nongovernmental organizations, organization of their activity, information escorting of the elections and pre-election agitation, the election commission activity, using at the upcoming elections automatic information system “Sailau”.
In particular the representatives from RGE “Engineering-technical centre of the Central Election Commission” performed the working model of the polling-station equipped with the system “Sailau” and told about procedure of electronic election at the upcoming elections on August, 18th.
Exchange of opinions in common discussion allowed the participators made suggestions and recommendations for increasing the effectiveness of the work during the organization of election process.
The representatives of the territorial election commissions shared their experience in different directions of activity, exchanged the opinions on discussing themes at the seminar – conference.
