On July, 11th 2007 ended the promotion of the candidates of the deputies of Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan elected on party lists.
To the Central election commission there were totally submitted the party lists of the seven political Parties:
1. National Democratic Party “Nur Otan”;
2. National Social Democratic Party;
3. Kazakhstan Patriot’s Party;
4. “Rukhaniyat” Party;
5. Kazakhstan Social and Democratic Party “Auyl”;
6. Communist People’s Party of Kazakhstan;
7. “AK ZHOL” Democratic Party of Kazakhstan.
By political Parties promoted party lists according to the demands of the Election Law to the Central election commission were submitted for registration of party lists the following documents:
1. extracts from the minutes of the supreme bodies of political Parties on promotion of party lists with attached copies of registration of political Parties in the Department of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
2. applications of the citizens included in party lists for consent for being included in them;
3. biographical data on every person included in party lists;
4. references from the tax authority for the candidates included in party lists and their spouses declaration of income and assets;
5. documents confirming the membership of the persons included in party lists in political Parties promoted political lists.
Also by “Rukhaniyat” Party, Communist People’s Party of Kazakhstan and Kazakhstan Social and Democratic Party “Auyl” must be submitted the documents confirming their payment of the election deposit.
According to the Election Law National Democratic Party “Nur Otan” and “AK ZHOL” Democratic Party of Kazakhstan are free of the election deposit as at the previous elections they won mare than seven percents of the votes of the total number of voters participated in the voting.
On July, 12th 2007 the Central election commission registered the party list of National Democratic Party “Nur Otan” where there are 126 persons.
According to the Calendar plan of the registration of the lists of political Parties will last until July, 17th and from July, 18th this year Parties can begin the electioneering.
Promotion of the candidates will last until July, 17th and registration until July, 23d 2007.
According to information submitting to the Central election commission by July, 12th 2007 were promoted 2172 candidates for the deputies of Maslikhats.
Among them 1537 candidates were promoted by National Democratic Party “Nur Otan”, 15 candidates were promoted by Communist People’s Party of Kazakhstan, 2 candidates were promoted by Communist Party of Kazakhstan, 16 candidates were elected by Kazakhstan Social and Democratic Party “Auyl”, 1 candidate was promoted by Kazakhstan Patriots’ Party, 1 candidate was promoted by “Rukhaniyat” Party, 9 candidates were promoted by public associations and 591 more candidates in order of self-promotion.
