On July, 18th 2007 was held the sitting of the Central election commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Because of the beginning of the electioneering of political parties the party lists of which were registered the Central election commission made an Appeal to all participators of the election process.
In it the Central election commission appeals political Parties, candidates for the deputies of Maslikhats, their election staffs, confidential agents, governmental bodies and the media to do their best in making the future elections open, fair, transparent and holding them in compliance with the election legislation.
Also today was held the casting of lots for including the titles of political Parties in the bulletin.
According to its results the titles of political Parties in the bulletin will be in the following order:
1. National Social Democratic Party;
2. National Democratic Party “Nur Otan”;
3. Kazakhstan Patriots’ Party;
4. Kazakhstan Social Democratic Party “Auyl”;
5. “AK ZHOL” Democratic Party of Kazakhstan;
6. “Rukhaniyat” Party;
7. Communist People’s Party of Kazakhstan.
In all on party lists were registered 377 candidates for the deputies of Mazhilis.
Among them: 321 men and 56 women. Middle age of the candidates is 55. 364 candidates have High education.
By profession: 87– engineers; 75– lawyers; 70– teachers; 60– economists.
By engagements: 76– businessmen; 47– deputies of Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan; 45– employees in public enterprises, institutions, organizations; 41– engaged in science, culture and education; 21– employees of the central bodies and ministries..
Also on July, 17th has ended the promotion of candidates for the deputies of Maslikhats of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
According to the information submitted to the Central election commission by the morning of July, 18th 2007 were promoted 8972 candidates for the deputies of Maslikhats.
To oblast Maslikhats were promoted 1654 candidates, among them: for Maslikhat of Astana – 129 candidates and for Maslikhat of Almaty – 165 candidates; for regional Maslikhats – 5451 candidates; for city Maslikhats – 1867 candidates.
Among 8972 candidates for the deputies of Maslikhats registered 4446.
Among them: 662 candidates for the deputies of oblast, cities Astana and Almaty Maslikhats; 2992 candidates for the deputies of regional Maslikhats; 792 candidates for the deputies of city Maslikhats.
Registration of the candidates will last until July, 23d.
Besides that today by the Central election commission were accredited 116 more observers of the CIS Mission on observation at extraordinary parliamentary elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan and 32 observers of foreign states from 5 countries.
