At the Central election commission was held the sitting of the Working group for consideration of appeals of citizens and public associations on election of the deputies of Mazhilis of the Parliament and Maslikhats of the Republic of Kazakhstan
At the Central election commission was held the first sitting of the Working group for consideration of appeals of citizens and public associations on election of the deputies of Mazhilis of the Parliament and Maslikhats of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In the staff of this consultative and deliberative body formed by the Decree of the chairman of the central election commission of the republic of Kazakhstan from July, 11th 2007 were included representatives of the Ministers of Finance, Home affairs, Culture and Information, and also of the General office of public executor of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The main aim of the working group is to generalize received by the Central election commission appeals and also working out recommendations on the most typical of them.
In all from June, 20th till July, 19th by the Central election commission were received 55 appeals from citizens and public associations, 2 of them aren’t on elections. Among 53 appeals 21 are on explaining the election legislation, 3 are on violation of the electioneering, 1 is on violation in the activities of the candidates for the deputies of Mazhilis of the Parliament and Maslikhats.
By today by the Central election commission were given the answers for the most appeals, some of them were submitted for consideration of the governmental bodies according to their competence.
At the sitting of the working group were discussed the organization questions. It was decided to hold the weekly sittings of the group on Fridays and by the necessity when it will be received appeals required immediate consideration.
In the work of the sitting of the working group took part the member of the ODIHR/OSCE Mission on observation at extraordinary Parliamentary elections in the republic of Kazakhstan Rumen Maleev, the head of the Staff of the CIS Mission on observation at the elections Eugenie Sloboda and also the representatives of political Parties with suffrage in the Central election commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
