On August, 10th 2007 was held the sitting of the Central election commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan
At the sitting of the Central election commission was taken a Decree on establishing an additional number of the election bulletins for producing and delivery to the polling-stations formed at the representations of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the foreign states.
Also in connection with the requests of the candidates and election commissions the Central election commission decided to increase twice the transportation costs of the candidates for the deputies of Maslikhats covered from the republican budget. The candidates for oblast, of the cities of Astana and Almaty Maslikhats for these purposes will be allocated for 30000 tenge. And the candidates of city and regional Maslikhats will be allocated the amount of 20000 tenge.
The Centre election commission continued the accreditation of the observers of the foreign states and international organizations. By the representation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan on August, 10th were accredited 144 more persons. The general number of the accredited international observers by this moment is 1066 persons.
Besides the Central election commission took a Decree on appointing the member of the Akmola oblast election commission instead of the outgoing and also were listened the accounts of the representatives of the two largest metropolises – the cities of Astana and Almaty on the preparation for the elections in the part of the activities under the competence of the executive bodies.
During the briefing the Head of the Central election commission stressed that in all regions it is necessary to expedite the work on organizational and material and technical equipment of the future elections. A special attention should be paid to the equipment of the sustainable energy and telephony.
Also Kuandyk Turgankulov informed all the present that on August, 9th the ODIHR/OSCE Mission on the observation at the Parliamentary elections in the republic of Kazakhstan extended the interim report.
“Generally it contains the information submitting to the experts of the Mission from the participants of the election process. In the document are ascertained the amendment inserted into the election legislation of our country and also there are some pointing to defects in the organization of the election campaign. In connection with that on some issues need further clarifications in the nearest time we will prepare the comments to the document”- said the Head of the Central election commission.
