The series of meetings of CEC members with organizers and participants of election campaign at the election of Senate deputies, nominated on October 4, 2008, is going on.
On September 2, 2008 training was held in Kokshetau city. Training participants noted the maximum openness in the activities of CEC, its readiness to co-operate with civil society institutions, international and other organizations as well as the timely publication methodical, information, reference and other background materials.
In her speech, member of CEC Ms. Tatiana Okhlopkova stressed that legal education allows solving the problem of inclusion of different social groups in the electoral process. Public awareness of the core provisions of the electoral legislation, election campaign and the participants of the electoral process in the media offers great opportunities for training of election organizers and raising the electoral culture of the population.
Of course, this work is carried out with the direct participation and support from public authorities, akimats, maslikhats, political parties, public associations, media and the citizens of our country.
