On 23 December 2011, the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan accredited through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs 38 more observers of foreign states and international organizations.
34 of them are representatives of the CIS Observation Mission. Another 4 observers represent other foreign states.
In total, the Central Election Commission has accredited 99 international observers at the moment.
46 of them represent the OSCE/ODIHR Early Parliamentary Election Observation Mission in Kazakhstan, 45 are from the CIS Observation Mission, and another 8 persons are the observers from five foreign countries.
Also, the Central Election Commission at its meeting amended the Decree “On Establishing the norms of expenditure of candidates for deputies of Maslikhats of the Republic of Kazakhstan covered by the national budget at the regular election of deputies of Maslikhats of the Republic of Kazakhstan” dated 24 November 2011.
During the period from 16 November to 23 December 2011 the Central Election Commission received 62 appeals. Of these, 45 appeals concern various aspects of the election campaign, another 17 relate to the activities of election bodies, election participants and the media.
