On 27 April 2015 at 10 a.m. during the briefing of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan the Chairman of the CEC K. Turgankulov announced the final results of the voter turnout at the election of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The turnout is 95.22%. "For the first time in the history of sovereign Kazakhstan voters so clearly demonstrated their civic stand, electoral activity and political responsibility for the future of the country. To this matter as well as to the increased level of organization of the election campaign the observers and experts drew attention in their comments”, said the CEC Head.
In addition, based on operational data, obtained from the regional, Astana and Almaty election commissions, the Central Election Commission has established the preliminary results of the elections.
According to the received by the CEC information the votes were as follows:
For Kusainov Abelgazi Kaliakparovich - 0.7% of the casted votes.
For Nursultan Nazarbayev - 97.7%. of the casted votes.
For Syzdykov Turgun Iskakovich - 1.6% of the casted votes.
The CEC Chairman noted that these data will be updated upon receipt of protocols of territorial election commissions, which according to the legislation have to be given within two days.
The final results of presidential election in the Republic of Kazakhstan, held on 26 April, the Central Election Commission, according to the electoral law, shall be established not later than within seven days, i.e., not later than 3 May 2015.
