Mikhail Bortnik Conducted an Inspection Visit to Polling Stations

 in the North Kazakhstan Region

A member of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mikhail Bortnik, visited the North Kazakhstan Region as part of an inspection tour. In Petropavlovsk, he took part in a meeting with representatives of government agencies on preparations for and the conduct of elections of deputies of the Kurultai of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, representatives of the relevant government agencies provided information on the progress of preparations for the elections and the planned activities. Mikhail Bortnik instructed the relevant authorities to ensure that the elections are conducted in strict compliance with the requirements of electoral legislation, with particular attention paid to ensuring the transparency of the electoral process and creating the necessary conditions for voters. He also emphasized the importance of ensuring public safety.

During his working visit, Mikhail Bortnik visited polling stations located in the villages of Astrakhanka and Smirnovo in the Akkayin District, where he met with members of the precinct election commissions. He emphasized the importance of providing voters with systematic and timely information, as well as creating the necessary conditions for observers and authorized representatives. The CEC member also took part in a training seminar for members of the election commissions of the Akkayin District. 

For the elections of deputies of the Kurultai of the Republic of Kazakhstan, scheduled for 23 August 2026, a total of 558 election commissions will operate in the North Kazakhstan Region, including 15 territorial and 543 precinct election commissions. A total of 3,196 election commission members will be involved in the organization and conduct of the electoral campaign.
