On accreditation of media representatives at the republican referendum scheduled for June 5, 2022
In accordance with paragraph 5 of Article 6 of the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated November 2, 1995 “On the Republican Referendum,” the Central Referendum Commission RESOLVES THAT:
1. The mass media shall cover the course of the preparation and conduct of the referendum, their representatives accredited to referendum commissions shall be guaranteed access to events related to the conduct of the referendum.
2. Representatives of the mass media shall have the rights and obligations provided by the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated November 2, 1995 “On the Republican Referendum,” the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 23, 1999 “On the Mass Media.”
3. Accreditation of media representatives shall be carried out in accordance with paragraphs 6, 7, 8 of the Rules for Accreditation of Journalists, approved by the Order of the Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated June 21, 2013 No. 138 (hereinafter referred to as the Rules).
4. Referendum commissions shall have the right to refuse accreditation of mass media representatives on the grounds provided in paragraph 11 of the Rules.
5. Referendum commissions shall be guided by this resolution when accrediting mass media representatives.
6. This resolution shall be published on the Internet resource of the Central Referendum Commission.
