On the Results of Voting
at the National Referendum
of March 15, 2026
In accordance with Articles 31 and 33 of the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On the Republican Referendum,” and on the basis of the protocols submitted by the territorial referendum commissions of the regions, cities of republican significance, and the capital on the voting results, the Central Referendum Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan RESOLVES:
1. To approve the results of voting at the national referendum:
1) the total number of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan entitled to participate in the referendum – 12,482,613;
2) the number of citizens who took part in the voting –
9,127,192, or 73.12% of the total number of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
3) the number of citizens who voted in favor of the decision on the issue submitted to the referendum – 7,954,667, or 87.15% of those who took part in the voting;
4) the number of citizens who voted against the decision on the issue submitted to the referendum – 898,099;
5) the number of ballots declared invalid – 146,558.
2. The referendum on the question “Do you accept the new Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the draft of which was published in the mass media on February 12, 2026?” shall be deemed valid, as more than half, namely 73.12%, of citizens entitled to participate in the referendum took part in the voting.
3. The new Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan submitted for voting at the national referendum shall be considered adopted, as more than half of the citizens who took part in the voting, namely 87.15%, voted in favor, and in no fewer than two-thirds of the regions, cities of republican significance, and the capital.
4. To approve the text of the official statement of the Central Referendum Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the results of the referendum in accordance with the annex, and to publish the statement in the mass media.
