Budget request of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan
In accordance with the Rules for the utilization of reserves of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and local executive bodies, the Central Election Commission prepared and submitted to the Ministry of Finance a budget request for the allocation of funds for the organization and conduct of the early election of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, scheduled for June 9.
The total amount of the budget request is 12,105,794,000 tenge, of which 77% is provided for remuneration of members of election commissions during the election period. The total number of members of election commissions is 69,509 people, including 43,945 employees of state-financed organizations (teachers, doctors, library staff, etc.), 2,413 retired persons, 2,401 self-employed persons, 103 students, etc.
In accordance with the Constitutional Act of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan”, members of election commissions are provided with at least three minimum wages for the election period.
When drawing up the budget request, the Central Election Commission was guided, first of all, by strict compliance with the principles of the legislation. We believe that any work must be paid in accordance with the established norms.
The remaining 23% of the budget request amount is provided for the organization and activities of election commissions, the rent of premises, remuneration of consultants, experts, members of the linguistic commission, speeches of candidates, candidates’ public election campaigns, release of candidates' campaign materials, transportation costs, production of information posters.
