The Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a meeting of the linguistic commission on April 26, 2019
On April 26, 2019, the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a meeting of the linguistic commission to establish fluency of Daniya Yespayeva in the state language, a nominee from the Public Association “Ak Zhol Democratic Party of Kazakhstan”.
The linguistic examination had all three stages: a written assignment on a topic, reading a printed text and public speaking for at least fifteen minutes on a topic given by the linguistic commission. After passing the exam, there was a discussion and debriefing by the linguistic commission. The meeting was attended by a member of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Lyazzat Suleimen.
Mass media had the opportunity to attend the beginning of the examination and learn about the results of the examination immediately after the debriefing. A member of the linguistic commission, an academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Professor Seiyt Kaskabassov, voiced the results of the meeting.
The writing task was on the topic: “7 Facets of the Great Steppe”. The written work was evaluated on the content, style, spelling and punctuation. The applicant used all the time given to her to write the work. The work was written correctly, the topic was fully covered, the main provisions of the article of the First President, Elbasy, were described. The commission members praised her work.
As for the second assignment, the applicant read an excerpt from the collection of verses “Amanat” by Mukagali Makatayev. The applicant read the poems correctly, expressively, with an understanding of the meaning, and delivered the message of the poems to the commission members.
The third task was a 15-minute speech on the topic “Society and Democracy”. The applicant performed very well, demonstrating good knowledge in the democratic development of the Kazakhstan society and further advancement of the party system of Kazakhstan.
According to the results of the examination, the linguistic commission, by open vote, unanimously decided that the candidate for the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Daniya Yespayeva, is fluent in the state language.
