On October 23, 2005 there was a meeting of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan to consider the issue of registering Baimenov Alikhan Mukhamedyevich as a presidential candidate.
      Pursuant to Item 5 of Article 59 of the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Central Election Commission received:
     1. An abstract from minutes of the Congress VI of the «Ak Zhol” Democratic Party of Kazakhstan” Public Association was submitted to the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which decided to nominate Baimenov Alikhan Mukhamedyevich as a presidential candidate from the Communist People’s Party of Kazakhstan with an enclosed copy of the document of registration of this public association in the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
     2. Baimenov Alikhan Mukhamedyevich’s statement of consent to be nominated as a presidential candidate;
     3. biographic data of Baimenov Alikhan Mukhamedyevich;
     4. minutes of the regional election commissions about the results of verifying signatures to support Baimenov Alikhan Mukhamedyevich;
     5. a official document from the tax authorities that the candidate and his wife have filed their tax returns;
     6. an invoice of election fee paid by the candidate.
      Having considered the submitted documents, the Central lection Commission found that the requirements of the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan and issued a Decree to register Baimenov Alikhan Mukhamedyevich as a presidential candidate. Baimenov Alikhan Mukhamedyevich was born on March 25, 1959. He is ethnical Kazakh. He is a resident of Almaty City. The candidate is the Chairman of «Ak Zhol” Democratic Party of Kazakhstan. He was nominated the «Ak Zhol” Democratic Party of Kazakhstan” Public Association on September 25, 2005.
