Regional election commission organizes press conferences and conducts seminars on clarification of the Constitutional Law “On elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan” to the members of its subordinate election commissions on a regular basis.
     Regional election commission provides methodology assistance to subordinate election commissions and controls the establishment of required facilities for their operations. It also observes the implementation of the decisions of the Central Election Commission by all election commissions established in the region.
    Since the beginning of the election campaign the regional election commission conducted 8 meetings in order to discuss issues related to preparation and conducting of the upcoming elections. The local mass media published the composition of the territorial and divisional election commissions and coverage areas of the polling stations. There were 750 polling stations established in the region.
    The preparation of the verified voters’ lists, which is one of the key tasks of the local executive bodies specially controlled by the regional election commission, is being carried out.  
    The scheme for cooperation between the services on inclusion of citizens and timely update of the voters’ list is established, the officers in city and district akimats responsible for actualized voters’ lists are designated, their office hours and phone numbers are published by local mass media.  
      The activities on correction of the existing electronic database of address reference bureau are being continued.
    Currently the activities on verification of the address list for the polling stations, compiled on the basis of the map of the residential area, are carried out. This would allow updating information on voters in every polling station and confirm data on borders of the coverage areas of the polling stations.
     About a half of the voters will be able to make use of electronic voting at the upcoming Presidential elections.
     The timely delivery of the electronic equipment to the polling stations is ensured.
    The monitoring of the preparation of polling stations for the electronic voting process is carried out daily. Particular attention is paid to preserving the electronic equipment.
     Testing of the electronic equipment showed certain problems. In order to eliminate these the joint checks of the readiness of the polling stations were organized with participation of representatives of the regional unit of the RSE “ITC of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan” .
     In order to ensure electronic voting as per the established plan the activities on providing the bar codes for IDs of the voters are carried out in the region.
    Currently regional election commission has various tasks related to ensuring of control for election campaign activities in the region as per the Constitution and the Constitutional Law “On elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan”.
